About Me

Mary Fowles is an award-winning documentary storyteller whose work connects audiences to the ideas, dreams and concerns of people we might otherwise never encounter. She believes that good storytelling can profoundly affect how we see and relate to the world. Her work seeks to shed a light on dark corners, lend strength to quiet voices, and illuminate beauty. Mary has lived and worked in both Morocco and Jamaica. She is a member of the Vancouver Street Photography Collective.
